2018 – Pakistan Club Celebrating 79th Pakistan Resolution Day
Pakistan Club celebrates 79th Republic day (celebration of the day, 23rd March 1940, when Resolution was passed to create Pakistan) with exclusive list of guests from West Yorkshire at Mecure Bradford Bankfield Hotel on 30th March 2018. The event was well attended and included guests from various communities. The Club decided to honour a few Yorkshire social & business activists for their contributions to the people & economy of Yorkshire. Amongst the awarded by the Club were Mubaaruck Ibrahim, Chief Executive of Feversham Education Trust for his services in education, Mohammed Rafiq Sehgal, chair, The Bradford Police Independent Advisory Group for his community work, Nirmal Singh Sekhon MBE, for his business & community services to the Bradford community and Barry Whitaker OBE his outstanding service to the Textile industry.
The guests enjoyed excellent cuisine served by My Lahore along with good company of Counsel General of Pakistan, Mr Ahmed Ali Amjad, MP Naz Shah and families of The Pakistan Club directors.
During the event the speakers enlightened guests with the significance of Pakistan Republic Day, the struggle & vision of Pakistan and the important responsibility the British Pakistanis hold on their shoulders. The event ended with fantastic live evening music & Pakistani national songs…
